Pokémon I like

I really like Pokémon. Here are some I like:

Little cell boi

Reuniclus

Reuniclus is a Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It has good HP and Special attack and its defenses are decent, but its speed leaves much to be desired. Its possible abilities of Overcoat (prevents spore/powder moves and sandstorm damage), Magic Guard (prevents any non-attack damage, like poison), and its hidden ability Regenerator (restores 1/3 max HP when switched out) help pad out its defenses so it can survive to land hits. Design-wise, Reuniclus is based on a cell. I think it looks really cool! I don't know why, but it reminds me of Kirby:

It's more vibes-based

That's probably why I like it. Kirby's cool!

Car

Revavroom

Hailing from the Paldea region (Generation IX), Revavroom is a Steel/Poison type Pokémon based on a car. Its statistics are balanced towards being a fast-ish physical attacker with okay defense. Like Reuniclus, it can have Overcoat as an ability (though it's already immune to sandstorms and takes 1/4 damage from the types that most use spore and powder moves...), but its hidden ability Filter (reduces the damage of incoming super-effective moves by 25%) helps it stay around longer. Being Steel/Poison type, it has a crippling weakness to Ground-type attacks, but it can learn the move Magnet Rise, which gives it complete immunity to Ground-type moves. It's also the only Pokémon to learn Spin Out, a 100 power Steel-type move that lowers the user's speed by two stages. An interesting fact about Revavroom is that most of the image above isn't Revavroom. The darker rock-like parts that make up the body and wheels are actually rocks that it attached itself to! (No idea why it doesn't learn any Rock-type moves.) In fact, in the games, you fight Starmobiles, which are Revavrooms attached to special cars, like so:

Big car

If you squint, you might be able to make it out. Neat!

Metal thing

Aron is a Generation III Pokémon that happens to be the first stage of the Aggron line. It's a Steel/Rock type, and it has high defense, passable attack, and terrible everything else, which is actually pretty good for an unevolved Pokémon. Its choices for abilities are Sturdy (Immune to one-hit KO moves, survives with 1 HP if damage would faint it from full HP), Rock Head (Immune to recoil damage, though you have to forcibly delay it from evolving to get it to learn a move with recoil damage), and the completely useless hidden ability of Heavy Metal (doubles user's weight), most of which speak towards the defensive playstyle it will have once it evolves. However, it has one major problem it won't grow out of: It's a Steel/Rock type. Steel is the best defensive type in the game, but Rock just brings it down with too many weaknesses, including two double weaknesses to Fighting and Ground! Thankfully, its final evolution Aggron can Mega Evolve, shedding the burden of the Rock type and gaining Filter (like Revavroom), as well as becoming tied for the highest Defense stat in all of the series!

Stepping away from the stats, I just think Aron is cute. As for why it caught my eye, I vaguely remember having a Pokémon card with it on it, and it prominently featured in challenge Youtuber Pointcrow's level 1 run of Pokémon Black, in which it was utilized for FEAR strats (using a low level Pokémon with Sturdy or the like and the move Endeavor, which reduces the target's health to the user's health, to reduce the opponent's HP to 1, then using a move that goes first to finish them off), due to its ability Sturdy. Its Pokédex entries say it eats metal, and apparently it's based on a monster from Korean mythology called a Bulgasari, which eats metal. Personally, I don't see the resemblance, but I still think it's cool.
